Privacy policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how VSON (“we”) collects and handles personal data through this website and related contact channels, including WeChat, in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong and its data protection principles.

2. What this website collects

• This is a static website with no accounts and no upload forms. The calculators and the quote request builder run entirely in your browser; what you type is not sent to our servers.
• The server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, time and pages visited) for security and troubleshooting, retained for no more than 90 days.
• This website does not use tracking cookies. If analytics is enabled in future, this policy will be updated to name the tool used.

3. Data you provide via WeChat or other channels

When you enquire or book transport with us, we collect what is needed to perform the service: company name, contact name, contact details, collection and delivery addresses, and shipment and document contents. The data is used for quotation, booking, customs declaration, delivery and settlement, and shared with customs authorities, carriers and brokers where required by law.

4. Retention

Data relating to transport transactions is kept for the periods required by Hong Kong and destination-country law (customs and business records are generally kept for seven years); enquiry data that does not lead to a booking is kept for no more than twelve months after the reply.

5. Your rights

Under the PDPO you have the right to access and correct personal data we hold. Send requests through the contact channels listed on this site and we will respond within the statutory time limits.
